In 2014, Rutgers & Drexel Universities joined together to create a new coworking & acceleration community on the Camden Waterfront.

Our Mission

Camden CoLab is a plug-and-play coworking and accelerator community that offers entrepreneurs, small businesses, and students a programmed and professional atmosphere for pursuing innovation in the fields of technology, education, and medicine. We aim to become a regional magnet for developing and established innovators in these fields. All that is missing is you.

Our Space

Camden CoLab is on the third floor of the Waterfront Technology Center, a LEED Silver building on the Camden Waterfront. We have flexible space for individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses looking to join a collaborative community and access business development services. Come check out our varied workstations--open desks, semi-private cubes, closed door offices, try out our shared amenities--conference rooms, kitchen and break room, lounge and coworking space, and meet out members--like-minded individuals that collaborate and innovate to push their businesses forward.

Camden CoLab is a light-filled, open format new economy workspace that maintains a professional environment. Our location in the developing downtown district gives you easy access to our educational and institutional neighbors, free parking, and easy access to public transit, well-kept bike lanes, and the waterfront promenade. Our secured and staffed building, accessible 24/7, will give you the space and inspiration you need to grow and succeed.

Service Partners

Rutgers Camden Technology Campus, Inc. (“RCTC”) is a not for profit 501(c) (3) mixed use business incubator.  Its mission is to attract, develop and retain new businesses for Camden.  It provides subsidized rent, professional mentoring, business services and management assistance to emerging early-stage companies and their employees along with access to venture capital and other supportive services.  In these ways it works to foster economic growth and business success in Camden and across the region.

The ACIN Camden Technology Center ("ACIN") strives to identify small businesses and technologies that are of interest to the military and the US Government, and to help them create markets for their technologies, products and services–thereby increasing jobs, growth and improving the long-term sustainability and survivability of the companies. Our program is focused on small businesses with technology that provides benefits to the Department of Defense – either by leveraging commercial-off-the-shelf  technology or developing new technology with the potential for commercial development.

Camden CoLab is the landing pad for new businesses, or businesses new to Camden, or independent workers looking to join a vibrant coworking community.
